Six months after a vivid image of Marilyn Monroe smashed records when it sold for $195m, a rather more dark and brutal work by the cult pop artist Andy Warhol may also be about to fetch a large sum.
Artworks by Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, Andy Warhol and other modern masters are going up for auction in a sale ordered by a US court as part of a billionaire couple’s acrimonious divorce.
Iranart- The 7th edition of Tehran Auction was held 7 July 2017 in the capital city where the best of artworks sold to art collectors. The total proceeds of the auction stood at 26.113 billion tomans – an equivalent of some $8 million. An untitled painting (trees) by celebrated poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri, for 3.1 billion tomans, became the most expensive item sold in the auction.

The sixth Tehran Auction was held on 23 December, with focus on Contemporary art and Visual art.
