  • TEHRAN –(Iranart)- Hassan Majuni won the award for best actor for his role in director Mani Haqiqi’s “Pig” at the 51st Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, the organizers announced on Sunday.

  • TEHRAN -(Iranart)- “Pig” by Iranian filmmaker Mani Haqiqi has won the Golden Amphora (Amphore D’or) at the 7th Fifigrot Film Festival, which took place in the French city of Toulouse last week, the organizers announced.

  • TEHRAN. (Iranart) –T wo Iranian feature films “Dressage” and “Pig” are attending “On the Edge” International Film Festival in Sakhalin, a Russian island in the Pacific Ocean, August 24-31. “Dressage” directed by Pooya Badkoobeh is the story of a 16-year-old girl, Golsa, and her upper-class friends, who rob a local store for fun.

  • TEHRAN –(Iranart)- M ani Haghighi’s ‘Pig’ had its world premiere on February 21 at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival, Berlinale (February 15-25). The event was followed by a press conference in the presence of the director and film cast, where Haghighi was disconcerted at the reporters’ questions that dealt largely with issues unrelated to his film and focusing on the political atmosphere in Iran affecting his filmmaking.

  • Tehran (IranArt): Another 10 films have been invited to the Competition of the 68th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival. Three more have also been selected for the programme of the Berlinale Special.
