TEHRAN.(Iranart) - A work by 96-year-old Iranian female artist Monir Farmanfarmaian was hammered at 40 billion rials at the 10th Tehran Auction on Friday, setting a record high among 113 other artworks presented to Iran’s major art market.
Contemporary artists, art managers and guests had the chance to see and inspect some of the top-selling artworks of the 10th edition of Tehran Auction. Parsian Azadi Hotel hosted this year’s event.
Tehran’s Parsian Azadi Hotel hosted the 10th edition of Tehran Auction on Friday, 11 January. Some 114 art works from 105 artists were sold during the one-day auction event.
