Bita Vakili's works were exhibited in Moscow and Frankfurt

Iran Art: In the last two weeks, the well-known Iranian painter has been showing five pieces from various stages of her career at two international art shows.

The Timiryazev Center in Moscow hosted the Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair from October 25 to 29. The event was attended by four galleries from Tehran: Nian, Baashgaah, Nam, and Artibition.

Three pieces by widely recognized Iranian painter Bita Vakili were on display at the expo by the Nian Art Gallery along with other artists. The worldwide exhibition featured two pieces from Vakili's "The Garden of History" series and one from the "Earth Pulse" series.

This year, 91 galleries from around the globe participated in the Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair, which was founded in 2014 by the prominent Russian collector Margarita Pushkina.

Meanwhile, BAAT Art Group is displaying two more pieces by Vakili at the seventh edition of Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt in Germany under the title "MARTEX Road: Middle East Art Experiences".

From October 31 to November 3, Frankfurt, in the center of Europe, will host over 120 international galleries.

In addition to 12 other female artists, two pieces from the Vakili series "Earth Pulse" and "The Garden of History" will be on display at the event by Tehran’s "MARTEX Road: Middle East Art Experiences", which this time concentrates on Iranian women artists.

Vakili had a triumphant launch this autumn at the Nian Art Gallery in Tehran. She debuted her new series, "The Guardian of Treasure," at the event, which witnessed a notable increase in sales. Additionally, she unveiled her "Earth Pulse" series in Iran for the first time; it had previously only been exhibited in London five years prior.

Christie's Dubai has recorded six notable Vakili sales. Apart from the record-breaking $45,000 sale of "Dreaming New York" on April 18, 2012, one of Vakili's nameless works sold for $40,000 on October 21, 2014, and another untitled piece was purchased for $35,000 in October 2011. Furthermore, she sold her artwork "This Is Me" for $31,000 in October 2010. Meanwhile, on April 27, 2010 and April 2011, two of her unnamed paintings sold for $25,000 and $26,000, respectively.

Vakili's artworks have been featured in ten editions of the Tehran Auction so far. At the 20th edition of the art event in July, a three-panel piece from the collection "The Garden of History" sold for $130,000, setting a new record for her.

Vakili's paintings are held by prestigious institutions such as Bank Pasargad, Tourism Bank, and the Farjam Foundation of Dubai, and Mohammad Reza Ghaemmaghami's collection in addition to well-known Iranian collectors like Professor Firouz Naderi.
