Hamidreza Shafiei: Art and Color at Paris Olympic Games
Sports and art are two wonderful aspects of humanity that exist in both the body and the mind and are regarded as the universal language of humans. And once every four years, the globe stops to see an international gathering and celebration of human potential—the Olympics.
IranArt : Hamidreza Shafiei, the manager of Vesta Color, believes that the Olympic platform is the ideal atmosphere for sports and art, and that Paris is currently the main hub for these activities.
He states: "Like all previous Olympic openings, art and artists were entrusted with creating such magnificent event. The ceremony was dubbed a 'Art-Filled Extravaganza' by the esteemed news source Artnet News. The iconic performance took place alongside the Seine River in the picturesque city of Paris, where visitors could see marvels of art and sporting history."
Shafiei goes on: "In addition to the stunning light painting of the opening ceremony, the audience saw the enormous cutouts of portraits from paintings that are part of the Louvre Museum."
He argues that for over a century, sport has benefited from the artistic gift of the Olympic emblem and its vibrant colors. Pierre de Coubertin created these five exquisitely simple rings in the colors red, green, black, yellow, and blue in 1914. They symbolize the five interconnected and entwined regions of the world.
Shafiei says that if one of these rings is stung, the other will sustain injury as well; Related to the ancient Persian poetry: "If one member is afflicted with pain Other members will remain uneasy"
According to Shafiei, art has the ability to convey the Olympic spirit in ways that transcend the games' fleeting nature.
He contends that while photography is the primary means of preserving and capturing the enduring moments of the Olympics, painting and sculpture also play an excessively significant role in this process.
"Just observing the dozens, even hundreds of art shows taking place in Paris these days is sufficient. Athletes' outfits, which range from tracksuits to team uniforms, are another example of the fashion and artistic features that have distinguished the Olympics over the last thirty years or more."
Hamidreza Shafiei concludes by stating that certain nations are capitalizing on the Olympics' enormous potential by establishing a conscious presence in these creative categories, despite the fact that they lack the talent to win medals and, in some ways, cannot be at the top of the medal table.
