Hamidreza Shafiei: Cultural Significance of Art Sale
The obvious argument is that selling artwork is a strategic matter for regional governments from a cultural perspective since it is ideal to display artists' works in a broad manner to successfully express the coordinates of Middle Eastern human values to the globe.
IranArt: Hamidreza Shafiei, manager of Vesta Color, believes that if selling art is significant and necessary for artists in terms of financial, living, and spiritual well-being, then it is also a critical option for local governments.
He states: "'Artists' need to make a living via their art' was something I talked about in an essay on March 2. The obvious argument is that selling artwork is a strategic matter for regional governments from a cultural perspective since it is ideal to display artists' works in a broad manner to successfully express the coordinates of Middle Eastern human values to the globe."
Hamidreza Shafiei continues, saying that when Middle Eastern artists' distinct worldviews are purchased by art enthusiasts worldwide and hung in public spaces such as galleries and exhibitions, they serve as a full-length mirror that duly reflects the compassionate, understanding, and spiritual nature of the people in this area.
The manager of Vesta Color notes: "It goes without saying that local governments need to have current, efficient policies in place for the growth of the art sector."
He argues that the issue at hand is founded on the following three principles:
1:
Preserving artists' employment prospects, which are crucial and beautiful vocations that inspire hopes in any culture.
2:
Middle Eastern nations that project an image of civilization have a lot of promise when it comes to art tourism. A vibrant, inventive, and sizable art community makes this prospect possible.
3:
The finest approach to present the modern Middle East to the world is to export its artists' creations from China to Europe and America.
Hamidreza Shafiei continues: "The private sector is, of course, a preferable alternative in this situation, but governments can equip and prepare the private sector in such a vital direction by providing significant incentives and raising awareness of their regional national achievements through art."
manager of Vesta Color ends by saying, "Let's keep in mind that America and Europe control the art market and the sale of artwork, but China has been carving out a portion for itself for a while now through significant policy decisions. Of course, the Middle East can only claim a portion with such efforts."
