Iranart: Bavan Gallery, Tehran presents a group exhibition 'Event: Iranian Contemporary Art and Shifting Realities' with the participation of 13 Iranian artists in London. This exhibition is curated by Takin Aghdashloo.
The artists present in this exhibition are: Mehrdad Afsari, Atoosa Alebouyeh, Navid Azimi-Sajadi, Mohsen Fouladpour, Amir Kamand, Shohreh Mehran, Parsa Mostaghim, Nicky Nodjoumi, Farah Ossouli, Elham Pourkhani, Ali-Akbar Sadeghi, Soraya Sharghi and Mahsa Tehrani.
The opening reception of the exhibition will be held on October 19, 2023, 6–8 pm at Cromwell Place.
Inspired by the concept of ‘Event’, theorized by the French philosopher Alain Badiou, the exhibition features generations of Iranian contemporary artists who become subjects of change, standing steadfast in their commitment to capturing the essence of truth. Their works transcend local boundaries, resonating universally, and fostering dialogue beyond the nation's borders.
