Iran in International Festival of Nomads in Kazakhstan
TEHRAN. (Iranart) – From June 28 to 30, the 4th International Festival of Nomads was held in Nur-Sultan with Iranian representatives in attendance.
Iran took part in the International Festival of Nomads in Kazakhstan. Master Mustafa Mirfakhraei, Mahtab Babaheydari, and Zahra Rigi plus two traditional wrestlers from Mazandaran represented Iran in various fields
From June 28 to 30, the 4th International Ethnofest Kóshpendiler Álemi (Kazakh: Festival of Nomads) was held in Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan with Iranian representatives in attendance.
Teams from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Bulgaria, Iran, South Korea, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan attended the event. There were equestrian performances as well as contests of warriors, kokpar players, archers and burkitshi. Various master classes in felting, leather processing as well as working with silver and clay were also organized as part of the main event.
The main goal of festival is to create a new attraction center for tourists interested in Kazakh culture, customs and traditions.
Iran took part in collaboration with the Institute for Development of Contemporary Arts and Iran's Cultural Attaché in Astana.
