Jafar Mahyari’s Love to Go on Stage in France
TEHRAN. (Iranart) – Written and directed by Jafar Mahyari, Love and Beyond the Words will take stage in Lyon’s Le Karbonne Theater, the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
According to the head office of Zendegi Theater Group, Love will play on stage on 9 March, 2019. It has so far hit the stage in German. The play narrates the story of a bored man laid back by taboos and resctrictions in life - that is until he falls in love. Saeed Abak, Mojtaba Atashin, and A’zam Shokoufehpour are the talent.
Production crew: Producer Javad Mahyari, light and sound manager Mohammad Rahmani, stage assistant Ma’soumeh Arvaz, project manager Zahra Afzali Naeini, and translator Hajar Heydari.
Mahyari’s Beyond the Words is a joint Iranian-French production (Zendegi and Litecox) which will go on stage on 10 March. It has so far played on stage in four other French cities. Back in 2017, it hit close to home after playing for the first time in the 35th edition of Fajr Theater Festival in Tehran. The play has no dialogue. It’s a combination of dramatic techniques, movements, videos, light and shadows.
Production crew: Writer and director Jafar Mahyari, action designer Daisy Fel, and assistant director Mohammad Rahmani. Saeed Abak, Beatrice Garnier, and Daisy Fel are the talent.
Both Love and Beyond the Words are taking take the stage in Le Karbonne upon an invitation from Litecox.
