Good Doctor
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A theatrical adaptation of Neil Simon’s play ‘The Good Doctor’ is underway at Gandom Art and Cultural Institute.
‘The Good Doctor’ is a comedy with music written by Neil Simon. It consists of a series of short plays, based on short stories and other works of Russian writer Anton Chekhov.
It centers on a writer, who speaks to the audience and shares his thoughts with them, in the course of a day. He presents them with a plethora of scenes: from his childhood, about his family and friends, and the rest recounts his own life experiences.
The audience meets a variety of characters, all of whom are immediately relatable and strikingly human.
Directed by Sevak Nazarian, the play’s cast features Mahta Ahmadi, Fatemeh Shams, Sadra Mohammadi, Mahlaqa Alavi, Mehdi Rashidi, Amirhossein Saremian and Saeed Azimi, Tiwall reported.
The play will be staged at the venue, located at No. 2, Maragheh Alley, Nejatollahi (Villa) Street, through March 13.
