IranArt : The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, in collaboration with the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, is currently hosting the “UAE Through a Photographer’s Lens” exhibition by Bahraini Photographer Abdullah Al Khan.
Running from January 9 to 31, the captivating photo exhibition comprises 43 rare pictures capturing daily life and activities in the UAE since 1963, offering a unique perspective through the lens of the veteran photographer.
The exhibition provides a distinctive visual journey into the history of the UAE, with the artist capturing the essence of life, public spaces, intricate details of roads and bridges, while also documenting the activities of sheikhs, rulers, and officials.
A highlight of the exhibition is the 1966 portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, standing out as one of the most prominent images. The portrait later was adopted as the official portrait of the Abu Dhabi Ruler.
