Sharjah Art Foundation will organize 8 Performances

Sharjah will host 8 contemporary performances from 13 January till 18 February 2024 by Sharjah Art Foundation.

IranArt : Perform Sharjah returns in January 2024 with its new season of contemporary performances, following a necessary postponement in response to the brutal war on Gaza, which required a moment of silence.

The programme is relaunched to foreground works that deal with the Palestinian struggle and to create spaces of encounter between artists and local publics, needed now more than ever.

The programme focuses on the role of both modern archives and centuries-old transmitted heritage in the contemporary imagination. Artists from different disciplines engage with issues of identity, cultural particulars, epistemology and alternative histories.

It is noteworthy that 8 contemporary performances will be held with titles : Readings from "In Search for Aida" results of a masterclass with Jalila Baccar in Sharjah Performing Arts Academy ," 4"by Tao Ye Dance Performance in Sharjah Performing Arts Academy, "Metamorphoses #2"by Essia Jaïbi in Dar Al Nadwa, Calligraphy Square, "Libya" by Radouan Mriziga Dance Performance in Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, Arts Square, "The Return" by Rayyane Tabet in The Flying Saucer, Dasman, "Singing Youth"by Judit Böröcz, Bence György Pálinkás and Máté Szigeti in Sharjah Institute of Theatrical Arts,Al Mureijah, "Perhaps Here"Short simultaneous performances in Bait Al Serkal, Arts Square and "Hunkaro" by Mohit Takalkar in Calligraphy Square.
