Fajr music festival postponed
The 32nd Fajr International Music Festival, which was scheduled to open today, has been postponed until Friday following the death of ex-president Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
Iranart : Hashemi who was the chairman of the Expediency Council died of a heart attack at the age of 82 on Sunday evening at a Tehran hospital.
The music festival will be held with a few changes in its schedule, the organizers have announced in a press release on Monday.
Based on the new schedule, Tehran’s Milad Tower will be hosting a few more concerts, while several performances have been mixed and one performance has been canceled.
Those individuals who have purchased tickets in advance are asked to follow the new schedule of the festival, which will end on Jan. 20.
