Tjeknavorian’s Pieces for Opera
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A IO Opera Group will perform pieces composed by Iranian-Armenian composer and conductor Loris Tjeknavorian, 79, at Vahdat Hall in Tehran.
The Tehran-based group will appear at the iconic hall on January 5. The performance will be conducted by composer, pianist, music theoretician and conductor Peyman Mansouri, 33. “We’ve been rehearsing the repertoire for six months,” Honaronline quoted Mansouri as saying.
The event is directed by violinist Alireza Favakehi, 27. “The players are from among the members of Tehran Symphony Orchestra and Iran’s National Orchestra,” he said.
Vahdat Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd., Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
