Organization launches project on road movies in memory of Abbas Kiarostami
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – The Isfahan Film Office in the central Iranian city has launched a project on road movies to commemorate the late filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami.
The project began last year, the director of the office, Mostafa Heidari, said during a ceremony held on Saturday to unveil seven short films from the project.
The project will end with the completion of three more films, he added.
“Negar” by Mohammad Fazelpur, “Boiling Point” by Ahmadreza Sistan, “Eleven and a Half” by Hamed Amiri, and “Domestic” by Mojtaba Espanani are among the films completed in the project.
Kiarostami died of cancer last year on July 5 at the age of 76.
