Dutch filmmaker Claire Pijman to hold master class at Cinema Verite
TEHRAN. (Iranart) – Dutch cinematographer and director Claire Pijman, mostly known for her acclaimed documentary films “Talking Guitars” and “Foot on the Moon”, is scheduled to hold a master class on cinematography during the 12th edition of the Cinema Verite festival in Tehran.
Pijman who is a graduate of the Netherlands Film and Television Academy (NFTA) will organize the master class on December 10, the organizers announced on Tuesday.
Cinema Verite, Iran’s major documentary film festival, will take place at Tehran’s Charsu Cineplex from December 9 to 16.
The Documentary and Experimental Film Center is the main organizer of the event.
Cinema Verite plans to review films from German-speaking nations in a special program this year.
A lineup of documentaries produced by German, Austrian and Swiss filmmakers in 2017 and 2018 will be screened in the program.
The festival has reviewed documentary films from Denmark, Italy, Japan and India during special programs over its previous editions.
