Iranian movies line up for Asian Film Festival Barcelona
TEHRAN –(Iranart)- A lineup of Iranian movies has been selected to go on screen in different sections of the Asian Film Festival Barcelona underway in the Spanish city, the organizers have announced.
Hossein Namazi’s debut feature film “Appendix” and “The Villa Tenants” by Monir Qeidi are competing in the official section.
Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian’s “The Midday Event”, Ramin Rasuli’s “Lina” and Sadeq Sadeq-Daqiqi’s “Forty Baldies” are entries to the Discovery section.
“Leaf of Life” by Ebrahim Mokhtrai and “Mothering” by Roqieh Tavakkoli are competing in the NETPAC and Panaroma sections respectively.
“Azar”, a debut film by Mohammad Hamzei, will go on screen in the Special Section of the event.
The Asian Film Festival Barcelona (AFFBCN) celebrates its sixth edition from October 31 to November 11, 2018.
The festival is holding a retrospective of the Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda, winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes 2018 with “Shoplifters”.
