Iranian films win awards at Venezuelan festival
TEHRAN, (IRANART)- Seven Iranian films won awards at the February edition of the Festival Internacional de Cine On-Line de los 5 Continentes, a monthly short film festival that is held in Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela.
Iranian director Amir Lashkari’s “Label” won the best experimental film award while “Paper Boat” by Elham Abbaszadeh received a special mention.
“Crazy Essay” by Saeid Zare Soheili was named best super short film while “Mr. A” by Siamak Ahmadi received a special mention for the best animated movie.
Actor Puyan Yahyapur and actress Maryam Masudi received best actor and actress awards for their role in “Without Eve” by Komeil Rohani.
The film also brought a special mention for the best sound for Nima Taqavizadeh, the film’s sound editor.
“From Us” by director/writer Seyyed Morteza Sabzeqaba received a special mention for the best screenplay while Ehsan Kaffash received a special mention of best cinematography for his cooperation on “Label” by Amir Lashkari.
In addition, Asma Sadeqi won the best child actor award for her role in “Confined Space” by Siamak Ahmadi.
