Film About Drug Dealers
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – O ne of the big winners of the 36th Fajr Film Festival in February that won four awards was “Sheeple” written and directed by Houman Seyedi. The film will hit the screens in the country from September 26.
The fifth feature film by Seyedi, 37, as a director won the Crystal Simorgh for the best script and the best artistic/experimental film. It also took the best sound editing award and was announced winner of the best film by viewers’ choice.
An action/adventure/drama, it is the story of a gang of drug dealers in downtown Tehran which has picked up many youngsters and orphans from the streets. Two brothers are leading the gang but they face a problem when a family issue comes up and endangers their lives.
Navid Mohammadzadeh, Farhad Aslani, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini, Marjan Etefaghian, Navid Pourfaraj and Nazanin Bayati are in the cast.
According to Cinematicket.org, Kourosh, Charsou and Arg cineplexes as well as Farhang, Soroush, Dezashib, Qods and Golriz cinemas are among the venues in Tehran showing the film.
